Ailey Solar Completes Solar Install at University Church in Chicago
University Church is estimated to save 90% on their annual electricity bill while dramatically lowering their CO2 emissions.
University Church Install Project
Ailey Solar is super excited to share that one of our recent non-profit solar installations was mentioned in the press!
The client, University Church, located in Chicago, IL, installed a new solar system that will reduce the parish’s electricity bill by over 90% per year! The system will also dramatically lower the Church’s carbon footprint.
Despite the clear benefits of going solar, smaller commercial projects like University Church can actually be difficult to get off the ground. Most developers, financers, installers and Approved Vendors prefer working on larger projects with higher profits. This bias towards large projects often means the people and organizations that could benefit most from solar don’t have an effective way to get their projects installed.
Ailey Solar is proud to serve these often-neglected market segments. Founded by two environmental activists, Jack Ailey and Dorian Breuer, Ailey Solar envisions a more sustainable and equitable energy landscape. Even as a for-profit company, our mission is to bring solar to marginalized communities, and this project underscores our commitment to working with community organizations.
Providing solar to non-profit organizations allows them to reduce their electricity costs and redirect those savings into meaningful work for the community. Whether it’s a place of worship, a local shelter, or a community center, we’re devoted to bringing clean, affordable energy solutions where they matter most.
If you’re part of (or know) a non-profit organization in the Chicagoland area that could benefit from solar energy, we’d love to hear from you! Reach out to us today and let’s explore how solar can transform your organization and contribute to a brighter, greener future for our community.
