Help Create Clean Jobs!

See our Ailey Solar team in action at the 1:57 and 2:25 time marks in the video!

Take a moment today to help Illinois create 32,000 clean jobs per year! HB2607/SB1485 (or the Illinois Clean Jobs Act) is a bi-partisan bill, supported by the Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition, that was recently introduced by state lawmakers in Springfield.

The Illinois Clean Jobs Act:

  • Increases energy efficiency standards to 20 percent by 2025— a 50 percent increase in savings compared to what would otherwise occur based on current policies,
  • Raises the amount of energy generated by renewable sources, like wind and solar, to 35 percent by 2030, up from the current standard of 25 percent by 2025, and
  • Creates a market-based strategy aimed at reducing the amount of carbon pollution emitted by Illinois power plants, helping meet new standards recently announced by the U.S. EPA.

Our friends at the Illinois Environmental Council have made an easy way to send a message to your representative in Springfield (either a thanks for already co-sponsoring or urging them to do so). They also have a quick link on their website to look up your local legislators and their current position on the bill.

Thank you and keep an eye out for our hard-working team in the video!

Report: Solar Could Add $15,000 to Your Home Value

Citing an article from Daily Finance, solar panels could add a significant value to your home.

“In a study of home sales in eight states between 1999 and

2013, the Berkeley Lab found that a solar power system was worth about $15,000 to home buyers, or about $4 per watt. That’s a significant addition in value[.]… Just remember that solar panels could save you money every month and add value to your home, but owning the system may have the most impact and make your home even more attractive to potential buyers.”

With the increase in environmentally conscious buyers, adding a solar system to a home is also a great option for builders looking to sell an eco-friendly building.

When you purchase a solar system, the study in this article and others show on average you will make your investment back if you were to sell your home.  Ailey Solar has partnered with Admiral’s Bank to offer third-party financing options that we are happy to discuss with you.
